The Funeral Mass Coordinator serves a vital role in ensuring that funeral liturgies at St. Francis of Assisi are carried out with reverence, dignity, and pastoral care. Working closely with the Presider and liturgical team, the MC helps organize and guide each service, providing clear direction to funeral participants and supporting the smooth flow of the liturgy. Candidates for this ministry should be trained Eucharistic Ministers, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and be able to work collaboratively within the pastoral team. This role is reserved for members of the parish community who are called to serve with compassion and liturgical sensitivity.
Altar Servers assist the priest in the preparation of the altar, the prayers spoken by the priest, and any other items necessary to conduct the liturgy. Altar Servers vest in an alb, which will be provided.
Requirements: Rising 5th graders through High School, must be trained at St. Francis of Assisi.
Time Commitment: Schedule depends on liturgy(ies) served. Typically a minimum of once per month. An annual formation/training is also required.
