The life of Jesus Christ was and is a life of loving service to others.
As followers of Christ, we are called to embody this loving presence here on earth.

Mercy Camp

When: June 17 – 21, 2024  8:30 am – 3:00 pm, with an overnight experience on Thursday.

Where: St. Francis of Assisi and Service Sites throughout the Raleigh area

Who:  Open to all rising 6th – 9th graders of the parish

Why Mercy Camp?

  • Mercy Campers focus on something greater than themselves; faith, purpose, and intentionality are formed
  • In a fun and engaging way, that feels really good, Mercy Campers experience what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and to participate in the life and work of the church
  • Mercy Campers feel a sense of belonging to the parish
  • Mercy Campers make lasting friendships with other parish teens
  • It works!  We’ve been doing it for over 20 years!

Mercy Camp – Teen Leader

Who:  Open to all rising 10th – college Freshmen of the parish

Why Mercy Camp Teen Leader?

  • Teen Leaders focus on something greater than themselves; faith, purpose, and intentionality are formed
  • Teen Leaders witness to their faith during camp and grow in love and compassion 
  • Teen Leaders make lasting friendships with other parish teens
  • Teen Leaders learn and practice valuable leadership skills
  • Teen Leaders help create many of the fun aspects of Mercy Camp
  • Service and leadership opportunities like Mercy Camp look wonderful on honors, college and scholarship applications
  • Mercy Camp is fun, engaging and it works!  We have been doing it for over 20 years

Cost: $90, payable upon acceptance  

Requirements for Acceptance as a Teen Leader at Mercy Camp

  • Prior participation in Mercy Camp
  • Submit a written essay, as described in the Registration Event in Realm. You will be notified of status 2 weeks after the close of registration.
  • Once accepted as a Teen Leader, $90 fee will be collected.

Mission Mercy

When: July 8 – 12, 2024 All day and into the evening with an overnight experience on Thursday.  

Where: St. Francis of Assisi and the site of “Pequeños Gigantes” in the Raleigh Area

Who:  Open to all rising 10th grade – College Freshmen of the parish

Why Mission Mercy?  

  • In Matthew 25: 31-46 Jesus told us that when we encounter someone in need, we will encounter Him. Mission Mercy teens encounter Christ in very real ways and grow in mercy and compassion as a result.
  • Mission Mercy teens spend a week focusing on something greater than themselves; faith, purpose, and intentionality are formed.
  • Mission Mercy teens witness to their faith during camp, growing in understanding and love 
  • Mission Mercy teens have tons of fun and make lasting friendships with other parish teens
  • Mission Mercy teens grow in relationship with Jesus while discovering how vital they are to our Church.
