Hope & Healing After Abortion
If you are suffering from the emotional after-effects of having an abortion, we want you to know that there is help and hope. You can heal and you are not alone.
Feelings of fear, anxiety, guilt, panic, or hopelessness can be typical — not only for the woman who underwent the abortion, but also for the man who was the father, the grandparents, close friends, even the assisting medical personnel.
How we can help
Project Rachel offers a means to extend the healing grace of God. In a caring and hopeful context, you will be able to move toward reconciliation — with yourself, your unborn child, your family, your Church, and God. Your call to the Project Rachel office will be answered by a companion volunteer. The companion is there to listen. She may also discuss your options with you and help you decide on the next step of your healing journey. All calls are kept strictly confidential.
At the center of your healing journey awaits a spiritual renewal; therefore, Project Rachel offers the services, if desired, of specially trained priests to administer the Catholic sacrament of Reconciliation. Referrals to ministers of other denominations will be made when requested.
When needed, counseling sessions with a professional therapist are also available. And small, confidential support groups convene regularly.
How to reach us
