Our Lady of the Rosary

Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Louisburg is the main food pantry for this poor and rural community where approximately 23% of the
population live below the poverty level. Hundreds of families depend on this pantry every month.



Volunteer for Food Drives or Donate Food

We host 2 food drives a year to benefit the community of folks struggling to put food on their table every week near Our Lady of the Rosary parish in Louisburg, NC.  Louisburg is a rural community where approximately 24% of the population live below the poverty line.  The OLR food pantry is the only food pantry in this area and serves over 100 families each day it is open.  It is quite a privilege to have the resources to continue to help this community each year, thank you for all of your past support!

Volunteers are needed to: 
Donate food

Youth and adult volunteers are needed
to hand out grocery bags after all the Masses the weekend before the drive
and to receive the donations at the large truck in our parking lot.
– Hand out bags after Mass on Nov 3/4 and/or
– Receive bags of groceries at the truck on Nov 10/11

Time Commitment:

15 minutes (handing out bags); 90 minutes (assisting at the truck).

Back-to-school supplies

We will collect and sort back-to-school supplies for the children.
July 28 and 29
August 4 and 5

Volunteers are needed to: Donate school supplies
Youth and adult volunteers are needed to help sort back to school supplies

Time Commitment: 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on task.
