Members of the Resurrection Choir minister to comfort grieving parishioners at the funeral service for their loved one. The choir is able to support the singing of the congregation and enhance the service with hymns that have been chosen by the bereaved.
This choir will serve at solemn liturgies n the church year such as Midnight Mass and other liturgies during the Easter Season. It is voiced in a traditional SATB format and will perform music from the treasury of Sacred Music as well as contemporary choral works. Several rehearsals have been scheduled generally on Sunday afternoons to prepare for Christmas and the Easter Season.
The Vigil Ensemble and Sunday Ensemble rehearse at the same time and part of that time is spent as one group, but at times they do split up to rehearse the music for the week-end. It is requested that members choose to sing in either the Vigil Ensemble or the Sunday Ensemble regularly so that Jim will know what blend of voices he has for each group.
