International mission trips have the potential to offer a different perspective on life and faith, elicit a deep sense of compassion and solidarity, and make a difference in the lives of others. We stand in solidarity with all of God’s children around the world, especially the poor and marginalized.
We are grateful for our partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and Sister Parish, Inc. who provide meaningful and safe experiences for our parish.
Build a Home in El Salvador with Habitat for Humanity
Led by parishioner John Budway, this trip provides an opportunity to work on the construction of a home alongside a local family wanting more for themselves. This trip will also offer the opportunity to visit a local school and make a pilgrimage to the holy sites of the Church’s newest saint – St. Oscar Romero. If you’re interested in joining other parishioners on this Habitat build and visit to St. Oscar Romero-related sites, contact John Budway, firstname.lastname@example.org
Sister Parish Village in Guatemala
Led by parish staff, parishioners, and our Sister Parish liaison, this journey to Guatemala offered a powerful experience of solidarity and faith with our brothers and sisters who live in a small, rural, Mayan village in the Ixchan area of Guatemala. Our parish has been exchanging delegations with this village for over 25 years. Delegates were welcomed into family homes where they share in daily life with the village. We have had many parents and teens make this trip and they have found this journey to be one of the most important and meaningful experiences they’ve ever had together. Besides time with our Sister Parish village, the delegates also visit important cultural, historical, religious, and natural sites in Guatemala.
