Caregivers via our community partner The Center for Volunteer Caregiving
St. Francis of Assisi Caregivers ministry began due to a need to train volunteers to help our frail or older members in tasks that they can no longer do or who may be temporarily disabled. This non-medical assistance to the physically challenged or elderly members of the parish helps them maintain their independence, decrease their isolation, and increase their quality of life.
Caregivers ministry via the Center for Volunteer Caregiving offers several types of help: respite visits so that primary caregivers can take a break, transportation to the grocery store and transportation to medical appointments.
