Our bishop, Luis Rafael Zarama has been promoting a plan to develop what is called a Cristo Rey school somewhere within the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. Cristo Rey is a model that reaches out to students who fall below a certain income level. This weekend there are representatives from Cristo Rey in the gathering space. Please drop by for more information – the current plan is to begin this new school somewhere in the area within the next 2-3 years.
This coming week, Jim and Steve are away on the diocesan priest retreat and I am in my second week of our Italy pilgrimage, leaving Siena on Tuesday morning for Venice.
And thank you to Tim Throndson, chair of our Finance Council, for speaking at all Masses last weekend about our parish’s current financial status.
Blessings on your week!
