This weekend we have available copies of our 2016-2017 Annual Report and we invite you to take a copy home with you. Please note that this past year our offertory (the amount of money we receive in the weekly collection) was essentially flat compared to the previous year. As always, we invite you to consider your part as a steward of St. Francis, your own part of our mission as a vital parish in North Raleigh. That can take many forms; participation in our weekly liturgies, volunteering in our many ministries, praying for our parish and its mission, and also your financial support which is so necessary for the ongoing operations of our parish. As always, thank you for your ongoing support!
A few comings and goings – a farewell to Cathy Ashton who has been director of our preschool for the past five years and a welcome to Dawn Eagan who will now fill that position. Cathy is moving to Nebraska next month. Dawn was most recently coordinator of our middle school youth ministry. We will miss Cathy and wish her well, and we welcome Dawn into this new position.
Also, a warm welcome to Deb Royals-Mizerk who has recently joined us as Director of Stewardship. Deb comes to us from the Justice Theater Project which many of you are familiar with from its operations here at St. Francis. And farewell also to Jason Lillis, who many of you know from his work with families preparing for baptism and marriage. He is moving to Charlottesville, Virginia. We wish him and his family the best.
Blessings on your week!
