You have probably noticed this weekend that we have re-sealed and re-lined our parking lot in the area around our school. This project is part of our ongoing planned maintenance on our campus. We plan to re-seal and re-line the lot closer to the church at some point this summer. Thanks to all who helped organize this important project.

You may have noticed as well, at the Easter Vigil last weekend, that we have a deacon serving with us here at St. Francis. His name is Steve Andrews and he and his wife Lois moved here to Raleigh last year from New Jersey. You will see Steve helping with funerals, weddings, and baptisms here. We are happy to have him with us.

I want to say thank you to everyone who helped out during Holy Week. These are major days, from Thursday to Sunday and a lot of people come together to make it all happen.

Congratulations to all the new members of our Church! At St. Francis of Assisi, we welcomed more than 25 people into the Body of Christ through Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist.

We are in the last days of our BAA campaign. Good news – our participation rate is higher this year than last, but we are still short of our goal. I have spoken to a few people who have said they still have their pledge card and have not yet sent it in. Could this be you? If yes, please consider making a contribution to our 2016 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. We are counting on you.

Blessings on your week!
