You might recall that last December we made a year-end request for funds that would go toward a maintenance project here at St. Francis. Our Finance Council has a subcommittee that has looked at short and long term maintenance needs here and that subcommittee has advised us that one of those needs is for new carpeting in the church. The carpeting in the main church and in the gathering space is the original carpeting from when the church first opened in 1996, and it has held up well over those nearly twenty years. Still, you can see signs of wear both in the church and in the gathering space as well. In the coming weeks, we will begin the process of replacing that original carpeting. I’m grateful for the work of the subcommittee in helping to identify these upcoming maintenance needs.
Hard to believe that this week our teachers arrive in preparation for a new school year. Where has the summer gone? Fall is not far off….blessings on your week!
