Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Congratulations to the children of our parish who celebrate First Eucharist this weekend and also the weekend of May 17. Welcome to grandparents and family members who join us to celebrate with our youth this important step in their faith journey to receive the Body and Blood of Christ. Thank you to the parents, the first teachers of your children in the faith, and to the many catechists who support parents in instructing and witnessing to our faith.
You may have noticed that the trees in the memorial garden are not blossoming as they usually do. Unfortunately, they have a disease and are dying or dead and therefore must come down for safety reasons. The columbarium committee is working on a design for the garden that will ensure the beauty of the garden. As their work progresses, further information will be shared.
This past week we celebrated the good work of our pastoral staff including the faculty and staff of our schools. Congratulations to all who celebrated anniversaries of employment with the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi.
In the peace of Christ,
