Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As you know, we tithe a portion of our offertory income to Catholic Social Teaching and the work of peace and justice. In Trevor Thompson’s, Director of Peace and Justice, column on page 7, he explains how we make decisions to distribute our tithe to support and promote Catholic Social Teaching. Below are some of the words of appreciation we have received. Thank you for your support of our parish mission which enables our ability to proclaim the reign of God by offering hope to those who hunger for human dignity.

From Birthchoice

Thank you for caring for the mothers who come to us! Your gift will provide baby clothing, car seats and cribs for the mothers who come to us in need. Thank you for working with us to provide hope to mothers in a desperate situation. I just finished a book on St. Francis that explained in detail the wonderful spirituality that St. Francis shared with those who followed him. I pray that we at Birthchoice can bring Christ’s love to all we serve, following the teachings of St. Francis. May Jesus bless you and all who serve at St. Francis!

Betty Rogovich, Director

From the Boys and Girls Clubs of Wake County

Thank you for your support to the Boys and Girls Clubs.

Ralph E. Capps, CEO

From Catholic Parish Outreach

On behalf of the people we serve at Catholic Parish Outreach, we want to thank you and your parish for the generous donations during the St. Francis Feed a Family food drive.  These wonderful donations and gifts of food come at a time of unprecedented need. The response from your parish was overwhelming. In December we gave a week’s worth of groceries and clothing to over 10,2000 people. Our outreach ministry to the needy would not be possible without the assistance of the members of our community and parishes.

We are blessed by your devotion to helping the poor in our midst. May God bless you.

From Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina

Please accept the thanks of the Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina and the Faith Ministries program for co-laboring with us. As our partner, we reflect on the many areas of support that you, your community of faith, your support team, your AIDS ministry, your food drives, your monetary donations, and the time you have given is immeasurable and for that we are so grateful.

We have been truly supported by your numerous efforts.

With warm regards,

Elder Jeanette H. McCollum, Director of Faith Ministries

From Urban Ministries of Wake County

We are astonished at the generosity of the St. Francis Catholic Community. You have supported Urban Ministries with food and meals at the Helen Wright Center and a most welcome and generous check.

Peter Morris, Executive Director

From EDGE Training & Placement, Inc.

Thank you for your generous donation from your parishioners so graciously given. These funds were desperately needed. They will be used to pay utility bills, for GED testing, and our new GED materials. Thank you for supporting the work we are doing in Durham.

In the peace of Christ,
