Pastoral Care

The purpose of our Pastoral Care Ministries at St. Francis is to listen to the needs of parishioners, as well as others in our community, and help direct them to the appropriate support and care they may need. at the parish, as well as other outreach agencies.

Kathleen Owen can connect those in need with our priests and other pastoral care ministries such as:

  • Homebound Eucharist visits
  • Distribution of Eucharist at hospitals and nursing homes
  • Volunteer Caregivers
  • Cancer Support Group
  • Stephen Ministry
  • Meals in Need
  • Prayers of the Faithful
  • Prayer Shawl Ministry
  • Anointing of the Sick
  • Job Connections
  • Transportation to Mass

Parishioners and non-parishioners can also be connected with other community resources as well:

Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Francis of Assisi
They will attempt to serve all parishioners in need and neighbors within the Zip Codes 27613, 27617 & 27703. They help people in an emergency, to prevent homelessness, loss of utilities, work, medicine, etc.
