Please join us at 8 AM on Saturday, September 13th for the 2nd Annual St. Francis 5K Run for Peace and 1-Mile Fun Run. All runners, joggers, walkers and families are welcome! Enjoy a fun morning of exercise, prizes, food and refreshments.
All proceeds benefit interfaith ministries serving the larger Raleigh community through The Franciscan Coalition for Justice and Peace.

Run Details
The course is a USAT&F certified 5K loop starting and ending at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church running through our surrounding neighborhood. Click here to view the course map.
All runners, walkers and families are welcome! Baby joggers are permitted; however, no pets, bicycles, skates or skateboards are allowed. Additional run details:
- All runners will be issued a Winning Time timing chip.
- Race starts at 8 AM, rain or shine.
- Race results will be posted at www.fsseries.com.
- Awards will be given to the top finishers by gender and age group.
- Packet pick-up 6 to 8 PM Friday, September 12th in Jacoba Hall at St. Francis.
The mile fun run will start at 8:45, rain or shine, and runs around the church grounds. This run is great for children, but parents are welcomed and encouraged to run/walk as well.

5K Run Walk
- $20 per person if registered by August 31st.
- $25 per person if registered after August 31st.
- $50 per family (3 or more) if registered by August 31st.
- $60 per family (3 or more) if registered after August 31st.
If you register by August 31st, all runners are guaranteed a t-shirt. Registrations after the 31st are not guaranteed a t-shirt, but we will try to accommodate by ordering some extra t-shirts.
Mile Fun Run
All Fun Run runners are guaranteed a t-shirt.
Training Group
If you are interested in the St. Francis Run for Peace, but do not have much experience with 5K road races, please let us know if you would like to be part of a group training program to get ready for the race.
The group will meet weekly to run together and train for the race in September. All experience levels are welcome. If you are interested in participating, please e-mail Greg.
Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for race preparation and the day of the race. If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail Luis. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and be entered into a drawing for great prizes.
