Welcome
SUPPORT LIFE

Committed to promoting a consistent ethic of life, from conception to natural death, the Franciscan Coalition for Justice and Peace works for the promotion of human dignity according to the social teachings of the Catholic Church.

We believe that "every human life has its origin in the heart of God."  Accordingly, all of the Coalition's 22 service and advocacy ministries work to nurture and support life.

The Franciscan Coalition is represented on the Raleigh Deanery Respect Life Committee and supports their many activities including: the North Carolina Right to Life Prayer Breakfast, Rally and March; the annual Diocesan Benefit for Life Gala, the Raleigh Run For Life; and the January March for Life in Washington, D.C.

In addition to the energy we focus on our own Peace and Justice ministries, The Franciscan Coalition also supports the pro-life work of BirthChoice of Wake County, Project Rachel, and the Gabriel Project.

Upcoming activities and events:

  •  September 6, 2008 - Run for Life will be held on Saturday, September 6th, at the SAS Soccer Complex in Cary, NC.  There will be a 5K race and a 1M fun run/walk.
