About the Endowment Fund
The David J. McBriar O.F.M. Chair for Justice and Peace Endowment Fund has been established by the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi to support the work and mission of the Franciscan Coalition for Justice and Peace in and beyond our community. 

Honoring the past
The Chair has been established to provide leadership for the Franciscan Coalition for Justice and Peace and to enhance the outreach of the Coalition apart from the general operating budget of the parish. Gifts will extend God’s work within our church, the community, and the world. It is named after Fr. David in recognition of his gifts of education, service, and advocacy both to the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi, as well as to the larger civic and ecclesial communities.  

Sustaining the Present and Nurturing the Future
The endowment fund can receive many types of gifts:  cash and securities; life insurance; real estate; charitable gift annuities; memorials; and bequests by wills or trusts.  An Endowment Administrative Committee will review requests and make recommendations regarding expenditures.  Available funds will be used in keeping with Fr. David's committment and passion for peace and justice.
