Volunteers prepare and serve a spaghetti dinner at the Safety Club on Branch Street, Raleigh.

Ronald McDonald House

Volunteers prepare and serve dinner for families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Durham.

  • Time Commitment: 5:30 to 7 pm, March 19 or April 16

Brown Bag Ministry

Volunteers pack and deliver brown bag lunches to low-income senior community in Durham.

  • All ages welcome.
  • Time Commitment: 2 hours, Saturday morning
  • Starts on campus (prayer) with delivery off campus

Community GardenChildren in the garden

Volunteers work and learn (seeding, planting, weeding, etc.) in the Community Garden at St. Francis.

Catholic Parish Outreach

Volunteers help in the food pantry and children’s clothing area.

  • Family-friendly (ages 9+)
  • Time Commitment: 4 hours. Shifts are from 9:30 am–1:30 pm, Monday – Saturday

Prison Pen Pal

Volunteer your time to write letters to prisoners on North Carolina’s Death Row.

  • Time Commitment: One letter per month for 6 months.

Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network

Volunteer to help host homeless families at St. Francis. Opportunities include: overnight hosts, van drivers, meal hosts, playing with children, and room set-up.
