HOMELESS SUPPORT CIRCLES

Are you right for this ministry?

Yes, if you can share a carton of ice cream with an AIDS care partner while reflecting on current events.

Yes, if you can help recommend a car repair shop to a single mom who can now call herself a “homeowner” instead of “homeless.”

Yes, if you can help a Latino mother transport her sick child to a doctor’s appointment.

Yes, if you can help a mom put the finishing touches on her daughter’s room as she prepares to be reunited after incarceration.

Care Circles are small groups of parishioners who form a network of prayer and support to a family in need.  These helping hands may provide an occasional ride to an appointment, lend support for a student getting their GED, or help find a doctor when a child is ill.  It’s amazing how little of your time can make a difference in the life of someone who needs you.  It only takes a few minutes to call someone and let them know you were thinking of them or to laugh over a joke.
