Our mission is to serve as a partner with Habitat for Humanity. This year we will be participating in Habitat's Apostles Build for the second time. The Apostle's Build is a partnership that allows thirteen individual Raleigh area churches to join together and fully fund and build a house for a local deserving family. As Jesus' original apostles were charged with spreading the word about Jesus, these thirteen churches are charged with assisting in Habitat's mission to provide decent shelter for God's children.
This year, we are privileged to help in the building of a Habitat for Humanity home located at 3903 Carolina Cherry Drive in Southeast Raleigh. The homeowners, Nhia & Hbong , will work with the volunteers on the building of their home.
St. Francis parish provided volunteers for several work days between October 2008 and January 2009.
