Habitat for Humanity

Habitat Humanity homeowners

Our mission is to serve as a partner with Wake County Habitat for Humanity in projects that build new homes for selected area families. We participate in the Apostles Build Project (run  by several Christian churches) and the Catholic Coalition Project (run by several Raleigh Catholic churches and corporate sponsors).

The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi sponsors occasional workdays in which parishioners work together at Habitat sites on Saturdays. Workdays go from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to be present at the work site. Lunch is provided. Construction experience is helpful, but none is required. We’ll teach you all you need to know!
