Our mission is to serve children receiving treatment for chronic or terminal illness, in addition to those recovering from surgery, at Duke Children's Hospital (Durham, NC).  We try to afford these precious children (and their siblings) a little relief from their illness by hosting monthly parties for the whole family!

Each month we come together with a reason celebrate - from birthdays to Valentine's Day, Easter, and Christmas.  The parties bring a smile and a moment of joy to an otherwise dreary and sometimes hurtful day.  We play games, do a craft, and there is always a cake.  Some children are too sick to play, however volunteers make sure the child leaves with a special toy or goodie bag.
