Welcome
CATHOLIC PARISH OUTREACH

Our mission is simple: to provide food and clothing to those in need in the Triangle area.

Catholic Parish Outreach (CPO) is the largest food pantry in the Triangle area.  Clients (individuals or families in need who receive written referral from an agency such as the Dept. of Social Services) can receive approximately 1 week’s worth of groceries for their family, clothing (children’s up to size 4 & maternity), and baby items, at most once every 30 days.  Following a brief interview, the client receives the needed groceries and/or clothing.

Thank you to all who donated to the September '08 Feed a Family food drive and the 2008 Advent Giving Tree.  Both were very successful!

 How can you get involved?

  • Volunteer  at CPO for 4 hours (from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM Mon- Sat).
    Volunteer opportunities range from:
    • working in the warehouse
    • food sorting and packing “orders”
    • clothing sorting and distribution
    • greeting/interviewing clients
      • Come once a month, once a week, or more often if your schedule permits!
  • Donate food or clothing (children’s up to size 4 & maternity) or baby items
  • Contribute financially.  As a program of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, which is a 501c3 organization, your contributions to CPO are tax-deductible.

The CPO truck will be at St Francis on the following dates in 2009:

Feb. 28 and March 1, March 7 & 8

Sept. 26 & 27, October 2 & 3
