Children of Chernobyl
CHILDREN OF CHERNOBYL

Our mission is to provide respite for Belarusian children suffering from the effects of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.  In so doing, we aim to bring hope and health to the children and families of Belarus while fostering a community of spiritual growth and acceptance within the family of our own ministry home.

Due to political disparity between the Belarusian government and the U.S., the international program supporting the children’s respite stays has been suspended for the summer of 2009.  Although the children will be missed greatly within our parish and broader community, we continue to work with our international partners to reinstate the program for the summer of 2010 and beyond.  Please keep the children, their extended families, and our host families in your prayers for continued hope and outreach.
