We friars subscribe to “Give Us This Day” which is a monthly guide to the mass readings for the day, and which also includes reflections written by both religious and lay persons. A reflection written by Sr. Genevieve Glen in the March issue reads this way: “[Jesus] paid intense attention to the world around Him, especially its human inhabitants and what went on in their hearts. One does not tell fascinating stories about people unless one has listened to them tell the stories themselves…by listening to tax collectors and prostitutes and all the less spectacular sinners he met and ate with, Jesus slowly changed them.” The listening Jesus – a nice image for us to carry through these Lenten days.

We are in the final days of our 2017 Bishop’s Annual Appeal, and we ask that if you have not already made a contribution, that you  please consider making one. As always, we are grateful for your generosity.

Blessings on your week!
