Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you to the many who have sent in your offertory pledge cards and stewardship covenants.  This is an opportunity for each of us to renew our annual covenant to St. Francis of Assisi as we are asked for our continued full and active participation in the life of our parish by thoughtful, prayerful financial support through our pledge to the Annual Offertory Appeal.

By your ongoing generous support, we continue to be faithful to our mission of growing in Holiness, offering Hope to those who hunger for human dignity, and extending Hospitality to all.

Your donations help us to tithe 10% of our offertory to support charitable works reflecting Catholic Social Teaching.  In the past month we’ve received thanks from several community organizations.

We recently received a note of appreciation from Betty Rogovich on behalf of BirthChoice gratefully acknowledging our donation and commitment to life.  Jackie Bonk, Director of Project Rachel, thanked us for our donation and support of post abortion healing ministry assisting those who are suffering from an abortion experience.  Our donation will assist Project Rachel offer retreats, individual counseling and support groups for women and men who reach out for help and healing.

Ralph Capps, President/CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs, expressed thanks for our investment in supporting young people in our community reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Bro. Thomas Cole, OFM, Director of the Franciscan Missionary Union, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of our missionaries and the people they serve.  “In these days, when the need remains great and the income doesn’t always keep pace, your support is essential and most appreciated. Through your financial and prayerful support, you enable our Franciscan Friars, Sisters and Lay Missioners to proclaim the Good News in word and deed to the four corners of the world.”

Jeanne Tedrow from Passage Home expressed thanks and is using our generous donations to improve their four core programs: housing and support services, neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and youth development.  “Onward and upward to provide a hand up . . . not a hand out.”

Thank you for the many contributions you make to support the mission of our Catholic community.

In the peace of Christ,

Fr. Mark
